Magical Kingdom
These rules change how you win games of Commander. You need 5-10 players to use these rules.
Before the game starts, create the deck, which contains the following cards:
- 5 Players: 1 King, 2 Bandits, and 2 Knights
- 6 Players: Add 1 Assassin
- 7 Players: Add 1 Bishop
- 8 Players: Add 1 General
- 9 Players: Add 1 Prince
- 10 Players: Add 1 Jester
You get 1 card. You keep your role a secret except as follows:
- The King shows everyone their role
- The Bandits know who each other are
- The Bishop and General know who each other are
- The Prince knows who the Bishop and General are
- The Jester shows everyone their role
When you die, show everyone your role. If there are two players left, they show each other their roles.
The King has 50 Life instead of 40. He goes first, and he becomes the Monarch on the Upkeep of his first turn.
Each role can win as follows:
- Assassin: You win if you kill the King.
- Bandit: You win if the King has been killed by any other player besides the Assassin.
- Bishop: You win if both Knights are dead.
- General: You win if both Bandits are dead.
- Jester: If the Monarch wins, you also win; however, you lose if there are two players left and you are the Monarch.
- King: You win if all other players besides Knights are dead.
- Knight: You win if all other players besides the King are dead.
- Prince: If the General, Assassin, or Bishop are dead, when the King is killed, you become the King. You gain 10 Life and become the Monarch.
